simpletome Placemats Leather Set of 4 Double Layer PVC Slap-up Ostrich Grain (Coffee)

I hate these placemats because they look ugly on my table. They have a cheap look and feel. Having said that, they are functional... they protect the my wood dining table from heat and spills. I would much prefer to have real leather, but these suffice while I continue my search.

Actually thought the packaging was amazing— with placemats in a reusable resealable plastic pouch that I use to store the placemats in. They were in perfect state right out of packing— no curled edges or toxic smell. Love the silver colour— very modern and beautiful as well as super easy to clean. Exactly what I was looking for. I prefer the ostrich print side but the plain side is very nice too.

I like these placements. They are stylish, and easy to clean. Unfortunately, they were shipped folded in half and they have a bend mark going down the middle of them that hasn’t disappeared even after more than a month of using them laying flat.

These are OK looking. A bit cheap but for the price OK. The real problem is that they came rolled up tight all together. I put them under heavy boxes and then is a warm place for 4 days and the edges are still curled up. Why would they pack them like that? Tryingto get these to lay flat enough to use on the textured side is an ongoing PITA project.

Cheap plastic look and they are not the ombré the picture showed.

they come in a FLAT package ! compare to the other ones that come folded and never really goes flat on the table , these do ! i think the ostrich side is ugly but the other side is classic and modern it looks luxurious ! i am ordering another set right now. and the smell ?? i barely got a faint smell that went away after the first clean ... so i dont get why so much bad review it a no-brainer ! .

I've been looking for black placemats that didn't look boring or "farmhouse". These are great - durable and with an interesting texture (if you don't like the faux ostrick leather pattern, just flip over.As some reviews mentioned, they smrlled awful at first so I let them soak with dish soap and then scrubbed them well and let them air dry. That gor rid of about 80% of the smell, and the rest dissipated within a week or so.

Placemats came in clean (some reviews complained they had to wash them which you should do anyways). There is a strong chemical smell from the vinyl but its faded over the last 2 days (to be expected from vinyl product). Happy with how they look.

I was looking for some leather/fake leather like mat that was easy to clean unlike a lot of the woven ones you find these days. Could find none in the local stores other than cheep ones either thin plastic or plastic layer on one side and some spongy material on the other that stains and gets dirt stuck to it.I had bought something similar at the Bay around 15 years ago and looking to replace. The ones at the Bay were around $8 a piece, these are around the same price but a little thinner and have a bit cheaper feel, but with inflation I say they are a reasonable price.Had them for a little over a week (8 year old spilled a few things on them) cleaned off fine. Have put some plates with hot food on them and a container from the microwave that was hard to touch with a bare hand, and the mat had no visible change. (nothing really hot, like from the oven was put on them, I don't think they are meant for that). They get dents when heavyish things are put on them, like a laptop, but it goes away (so far so good).They did have a new plastic smell when first opened, noticeable from a foot or two away. One cleaning reduced the smell %90. Smell is going away over time, week later I can only smell it if I put my nose 1 inch away. Can't smell it just normally sitting at the table.Overall I'm happy.

Product came on time and came and flattened out in a box. there was a slight chemical smell but after washing it once it disappeared right away. After reading other reviews, I'm sure people did not wash it right away as you should always. Highly recommend
