Works well, though sheds a bit.
While a decent shaving brush I must say my experience with them is limited. I have, however, used many other brushes in painting and similar applications. This brush continues to lose more hairs than I would like to see, though I probably get what I paid for with this one. I estimate between 0-2 bristle hairs are lost per shaving session on average which wouldn't be an issue with a better glue bond at the base of the hairs.Bristles are soft and cleanup is simple. Conditioning with a couple lather-scrub-rinse cycles removed the original wet-dog smell. I've only had it in use for a couple weeks but am happy with it's feel and performance so far.Update Dec 2, 2015This brush stopped shedding after a dozen uses or so. It continues to work well and I recommend it.

Enjoy using this brush!
Have only had it a short time but it appears quality made and produces a nice foam with my "Taylor of Old Bond Street" sandalwood shaving cream. I found that I must not push it too hard on my face when using since the bristles are fairly firm. A more side brushing motion worked great and my shaves have felt a lot smoother since using this brush and cream. I'm sure if it is taken care of properly (washing it out after use, drying it well and not storing it laying on the bristles) it should last a very long time.

OK, not wowing me any more than one from a big box store quite yet but nice brush for the price.
I'd say this brush is on the softer side. Have used it about 4 times now. It does have a slight odor to it when first get it. Having hard time pinpointing what it is, but I think it's smell of the adhesive. I'm sure it's toning down and going away use after use. Give it a try. I'll post more if it's not getting better but so far so it's OK.

First, I feel a bit bad about the review I'm about to give because Mark (the co-owner of N-ICE) keeps emailing and seems genuinely concerned about how my brush and I are doing. Well, the fact is my brush and I are getting along pretty darn good. However, I am not using this brush for shaving, rather i'm using it to cover large surface areas with oil when cleaning my guns. Might sound crazy to some...but this has been a tried and true method used in several wars. So let me say that in the regards of applying lube to your rifles and shotguns in a fast and efficient manner, this brush is amazing and does an amazing job of keeping my rifles rust free and oiled up. As for actually shaving with it...I am not certain of its function or quality, but would speculate that it would do a great job.PS.- Mark, If you put the navy seals logo on this thing, packaged it in a pelican case and put the words "Tactical Gun Lube Applicator" you would sell 1000 if you listed it in the sports section of amazon. I wont even charge you for that marketing genius tip. Hahaha!

Worked well enough for a bit, but after just a couple months of use the bristles are falling out by the dozens and is unusable. This was my first brush so I cannot compare the stiffness to anything else but it did knot up a bit in the center of the brush. I will be trying a bit higher quality brush next time.

Nice brush for the price
Nice brush for the price. I'll be honest, this is my first badger hair brush but I did have synthetic and boar hair. This brush is soft and works up some good lather. Boar hair is kind of rough and the synthetic is soft but it tends to close up like a paint brush. This one is a good mix of both qualities. Its soft and the bristles stay puffy. You got to wash this thing really good before you use it. There is some dye that runs out when you wash it and washing it will help release some loose hairs. It does lose hairs but it became very minimal after about a week of use.

Falling apart after 20 months of light use.
Bought it in July 2015 and it lasted 21 months or so but is now loosing large clumps of bristles. I only shave about twice a week and rinse and hang it after every use. Not too thrilled.

I've used this brush in my shaving routine about 10 times now. Although I have little to compare it to, I have enjoyed it. A few bristles have fallen out but not enough to cause concern. Great buy for the price in my opinion!
