Works When Using the Right App
I returned this due to issues displaying fault codes. However, I figured out afterwards that the app I used was to blame rather than the device. I was using Torque Lite, and it would only display the fault codes intermittently (approximately once out of every 5 tries). I returned the device and bought a different one. The new device had the same problem, so I tried a different app. The new app (OBD Auto Doctor - I also tried OBD car doctor and it didn't work at all) seems to work flawlessly. I'm assuming that the issue I had with this product was due to the app choice, so I'm giving it 4 stars.I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox for those who are interested.

Does not connect to vehicle's onboard computer
I tried this in two vehicles, with two different apps, including Torque Pro, which I paid $4.95 for. My phone can pair with the Amtake tool, but the tool is unable to connect via OBD regardless of the ignition position (on, engine running). The tool includes a basic paper manual that states it *does not* work with the following models: 1995 Ford Ranger, 2000 Saturn, 2000 Honda Civic, 2001 Nissan Altima, 2002 Dodge Neon, 2002 Acura, 2003 GMC, 2003 Ford, 2005 Toyota "Vitz", 2005 Renault Clio.Guess we can add 2002 Chevy and 2003 Subaru to that (secret) list. It's going back to Amazon. Try another device.

Blue Tooth OBD2 Reader
Works great! I have a 2003 Ford Explorer with a 4.6 L V8 . I have 2 other OBD2 readers .One a cheapy and the other more expensive .But for some reason they will not connect with my vehicle.I got tired of going to autozone to read a code when needed. I said for the price I would give this bluetooth reader a shot . I downloaded the app Dash Command for android . Turned on my blue tooth on my galaxy s6 and it works excellent this reader.Dash Command has a ton of information on display that is very helpful. Two thumbs up for this purchase.

Does not disclosed it only works on certain vehicles and item description
Will not work on 2003 Ford which it says in the instruction but nowhere on the site does it say that in the description that is the reason I bought this because it didn't say that it didn't work on certain cars it works on my 2006 Volvo but I had got it also to have somebody who has a 2003 Ford very disappointed should have just bought a scanner at a local Big Box store

Failed In First Month Of Moderate Use
Worked fine for the first month. Then it started to lose connection with Torque App. Bluetooth said it was still connected, but it would not send any data. It would work for the first 10-15 minutes of driving, then I would notice the PID would start to lag and eventually stop updating. I would have to unplug the adapter from the OBDII port and plug it back in. But it would again fail, within minutes. Tried it on multiple phones, same thing. Even though mine has the on/off button, I never left it plugged in.I reached out to Amtake and they sent out a replacement. The replacement works, with no issues.

Works great!
I bought this item for a ridiculously low price of $12. I have used it to read codes on three different cars after downloading the Torque app to my phone. I have also used to to read out the RPMs and spedometer. The hardware works great for my needs and it was very easy to pair to my phone. If someone doesn't know how to pair, there is sometimes a bit of learning curve for that.

Simple to sync and works great with Samsung... not to sure about Apple?
I like these bluetooth readers so much, I've purchase 3 in total. All have worked flewesly via my android Samsung phone or tablet using a free to download obd2 app (OBD Check Torque (lite)).I could not get it to sync to an Apple I-Phone using a free to download Apple app, however this could be due to to my unfamiliarity with I-phone products.

Good Product
Good product and arrived quickly and exactly as described. Just be aware of your car being compatible. Double-check this before purchase. Some cars are not OBD2 compatible....
