Does not heat water to set temperature with accuracy
Primary reason I bought an electric kettle was to set specific temperatures and have that temperature reached and held for various purposes. I was very happy to have found this kettle for sale, but alas it is sadly unable to perform the most important of it's duties: heat water to the desired temperature. If I set 200F the machine will heat the water to ~212, if I set 190, I will get ~205. The amount of water in the kettle seems to change the amount that the temperature is off by. I do not know if the thermometer is reading the wrong temperature- or if the heating element is simply not turning off at the right time, either way I can't get the water to heat to where I need it. Compensating for the constant overheating is hard due to the fact that the volume of water changes the degree of error, and therefor renders the ability to set a desired temperature useless.Picking up the kettle when the temperature readout reaches the temp that I want also fails because the temperature will continue to rise after the kettle has been removed from the base stand- and less than 5 seconds after will lose all power and therefor stop showing the current (hopefully accurate) temperate of the water, making it impossible to tell WHAT THE TEMPERATURE ACTUALLY IS when I pour my water- why is this so hard?On a separate note, there was a distinct taste to the water the first few times we used it, especially for coffee. This was after it was wasted with soap and hot water, and boiled once rinsed. Since then we washed it methodically and this flavor has basically vanished although it's still fairly disconcerting that whatever caused it entered our bodies.I like the design, and I'm happy that it does not beep loudly and the controls function well, large top to pour water in and to get a sponge in for washing when needed- however the flaw in the temperature control is either a defect in my specific Nobebird kettle, or a defect in the design as a whole. I hope the company knows which, and will offer a replacement if it is the former. If not I will just return the useless kettle and USE MY GAS STOVE. Bah, humbug.

Outstanding Electric Kettle. I LOVE this thing!
Imagine waking up first thing in the morning, coming down the stairs and finding a welcoming, glowing button beckoning to be pushed. You push the button, a kettle lights up in blue ambient color, and within less than 5 minutes you have a pot of boiling water ready to be poured into your coffee cup. This is the pleasure I found after purchasing this glass kettle.I have dealt with electric kettles prior to this one. They are more old-fashioned, made of plastic, and though they work fine they are not fun to look at.This is the first kettle I have bought made of glass and metal. I wanted something more modern looking to sit as the centerpiece on my counter. The sleek, eye-catching design of this kettle fit the bill. What I wasn't prepared for was what exactly would happen once I powered it on. The glass body comes alive with blue light as the handle produces a digital readout of the current temperature. Buttons on the handle allow you to increase or decrease the desired temperature. Most likely, you will want it at the maximum, which is 212 degrees.Filling the pot with water at the halfway point, I had water at a full boil in just over 4 minutes. That's certainly much, much faster than boiling water on a conventional stove top. This is the reason why I prefer electric kettles -- I don't have to wait forever for the water to boil whenever myself or company want coffee or tea.Two additional features I really like here is the fact that there is a button that allows you to keep the water warm so it's always ready for a second or third cup. Also, once you set the desired temperature it remains in memory so that when you push the power button to start, it automatically knows what temperature to reach for.Unlike other kettles I have owned prior to this, the mouth is wide enough upon opening to be able to easily clean. A simple twist removes the lid allowing you access to move a sponge around.I really love this product. It's state-of-the-art tech really brings water kettles into the modern era. It's extremely intuitive to use. Once you get it set up a simple press of the button activates your desired temperature and you have boiling water in no time.Highly recommended.

Stopped working after about 3 months
This seems to be a common issue. The kettle was working great, has a nice feature set, but stopped working after about 3 months. It turns on, I can control the temperature, but it no longer heats the water. I was using it as I normally do each morning and it got up to about 109 degrees and just died. This kettle is overpriced for it being so unreliable. I'm not able to find any information about who this company is, they don't seem to have a website. I'll stick with more recognizable brands from now on.
