RG -316 IS A CHALLENGE TO GET RIGHT
Thin cable RG-316 is doable with this stripper, but the learning curve is high to get the feather touch needed for it to work. For me, anyway. I am not sure just a simple box cutter blade and a gently touch may not be a better solution.all the best to all of you,LL

Finally!!
I have not used one of these before and after 2 hours of messing with it and wasting a foot or more of RG 174 I was ready to send this back as just so much junk. Then my son suggested I rotate in the opposite direction from what I was. It made a difference! After another 20 minutes of adjusting the blades I finally got a clean proper strip and succeeded in repairing an antenna feed. There are no instructions with this. I understand that these are imported in bulk, packaged and sold here. It would be so easy for the seller to print a simple picture on the package showing the basics of how it is to be adjusted and used. It would also be easy for the manufacture to have a directional arrow on the stripper itself.

Works Great for RG174
Only used it for RG174 so far and it works great for that! I got the two blade model HT-322D and the blade separation seems perfect out of the box (the separation between the two blades is adjustable). It just took a little tweaking of the cut depth on both blades. This makes sense as all RG174 is not *exactly* the same. So far it's repeatable and awesome.

The "V" block setting of the HT-332D for stripping RG174/188/316 cables must be set to "D"
The information on the back of the HT-322D the packaging shows only RG174 cable stripping for the "V" block setting at D; this is incorrect and misleading. It should list all three cable designations RG174/188/316. I contacted ConnectoRF customer service and they explained this discrepancy and accepted full responsibility for the resulting confusion and offered a customer friendly solution that included a Youtube link demonstrating best practices using the generic HT-322 cable stripper and a full refund while not requiring return of the HT-332D. All the while they made an honest and sincere effort to resolve the problem, which they did, but took the extra step in backing up their customer commitment policy with the unexpected offer of a full refund!

Makes stripping coax cables easier.
I like the ease with which the tool cuts the lengths of the conductor and outer sheathing. It required some experimenting and adjustment to get the cutting depths correct. I would like to have seen better, more thoughtful instructions. My experience is using it was not so straight forward as just removing it from the package and using it.

Cheap, but works with a little adjusting.
I used this to strip coax for an SMA connector. The blades are adjustable, and it needed to be adjusted before use. The set screws do their job and haven't moved, and the blades are sharp. I have only used it once so I don't know about the longevity.

This device is difficult to adjust properly.
This device was supposed to do RG316 along with RG 174. I have not been able to get it adjusted to do either one consistently. I t is well made and I expect to get it adjusted to consistently strip RG 316.
