Update (04/08/2019): the cover became warped and doesn't cover the keys properly anymore- it works but it's annoying and doesn't fit nicely. Will be purchasing another one from other companiesUpdate (03/05/2019): had to take a star off from this as I began to notice that after typing for long periods of typing, I noticed that my fingers would cramp- an effect that is not noticeable when I don't have the cover on. I realized that the cover would reduce "bounce back" from the keys- meaning I had to press harder on each key each time- which would tire my fingers fasterIt's awesome! I like that it protects the keys of my Surface Book 2 (yes it fits!). My biggest complaint, is that I purchased the black one- however it does not let the back lit keyboard show light through it. This is partially my fault for thinking that the letters on the cover were transparent instead of white- still I would've liked to keep that functionality of my Book 2.Aside from that, the cover helps reduce the noise levels while I type- and also provides a bit of protection from potential greasy chip fingers (lol)

Fits perfectly on Microsoft Surface Book. I have the clear cover, which is thin silicone that doesn't block the back-light/ key lights. While the keys are protected and there is the soft silicone texture, the crisp key click sensation/ ease of typing isn't altered at all (which I found surprising). The cover also stays in place on my keyboard better than the non-silicone cover I had, which would fall off when I put my laptop sideways into my bag.

First of all, many of the more negative reviews are about the skins. My review is about the foam case and the silicone keyboard cover.First the foam case. This isn't my first foam case. This case has very soft foam approx. 1/4 thick on either side. I find the foam to be too soft to offer great protection for my uses (stuffed in bags / backpacks) but it will provide ok protection from light uses. I give it a 3/10.The silicone keyboard cover I give a 5/10. Unlike other reviews I feel this has just the right amount of grip. It's not sticky, but when placed on the keyboard it resists movement very well. It takes a bit of effort to dislodge it, meaning it won't accidentally come off unless you flip it upside-down. Once you peel up a corner though it releases effortlessly. Cheap, great spill protection. Great padding for the screen when closed too!

I got this unsure of how it would be, but gotta say, I'm loving the feel. It doesn't hinder my typing at all, I will admit, it isn't the same as without it on, but that's too be expected. I got the black keyboard, looks great. Only downside is that a lot of the back lights from the keyboard very blocked out, like the fn key for example.

Very cool looking, thick material that doesn't interfere with operation. Time consuming to put on, but worth it. BTW, this IS NOT WATER, DUST OR ANYTHING POOF . . .read carefully, there's several different types of covers

This item is of good quality and packaged professionally. Fast delivery (next day!) and item is better than described - it fit my surface book 2 keyboard PERFECTLY! I got the pinkish maroon like color to subdue the bright white backlight on the keyboard and it helps, it lets enough light thru to make it a pink tinge which is easy on the eyes especially at night. It feels great to type on and although it was folded in the package with other items that I ordered from amazon, it flattened out perfectly. Good directions included, although none were needed - and all pertinent info included - like this thing is washable!Fyi - amazon delivery takes a photo of where they leave your items when they were delivered - and they followed my explicit directions, so thank you to the Vendor and thank you AMAZON!!!

It says right on the case that the keypad protector is for a MacBook. Not surface book. Plus, a keypad protecor already came with the skin I purchased so I didn't even need to buy the keypad protector separate. Not to mention the skin took over an hour for me to put on right because there were no instructions that came with it and I have never put a skin on anything before. PLUS, it says a pack of 4 in the description, but there was only 1 in there!! Make sure you know what you're buying before you purchase this, because I am not impressed.

I ordered the "shining black" The finish on this is not what I expected but I like it. I thought it would be a glossy black, but it's textured (sort of like a non-abrasive emery board) and sparkly. The texture keeps my laptop from slipping on my lap which is a bonus. And it won't show fingerprints. It wasn't difficult to apply, but not really easy either. The challenge is getting everything centered. It was fairly easy to remove and re-position though. The texture makes it pretty forgiving of minor blemishes. I previously had a decal that showed any speck of dust that got under it during installation. I used the two slim cut outs from the bottom to cover the 2 center hinge strips. They don't go clear to the ends so I just centered them. All-in-all, a nice product.
