I will be traveling to Europe soon. It's nice that the cable is for EU, and that there are attachments for the rest of the world. It will be weird, if I use it upon returning to the US, as I will need to use an adapter to plug in the device. I tried plugging in headphones, but the device didn't work right away (charged in the US). I believe this was because I didn't have the 3-prong part of the cable pushed in far enough. After I fixed it, and turned the travel adapter/voltage converter on, the Geargo label turned blue, and my headphones started charging. I am currently using the 3.0 A to charge them. While in Europe, I will probably only use the USB ports, as it will be more convenient than carrying around multiple charging cubes for each device. I am slightly afraid to use the part that the charging cube would plug into, because I have heard many horror stories of devices frying, but that was only when they plugged in hair dryers (don't do that). I haven't figured out from the company if the risk of damaging devices is the same for using the USB ports and with the cube. I am going to email the company.Just as a head's up, when you receive this product, there will be a card with a free product if you write a review, as well as a 1 year warranty. These gifts are not swaying me to write a review more positively. This is a real, honest review. If I am allowed to update my review after my trip, I will. So far, I have a positive experience with this adapter/converter. It's nice that it's a 2-in-1.

I will be visiting 3 countries in Europe with US material including cell phones and notebook computer. Voltage is not standard in Europe and without a converter (and many adapter plugs) you will destroy your equipment and nothing will recharge. Image no battery power no computer and no cellular service. Totally out of touch. Will not / Can not happen. Society requires us to be in almost constant contact. This is the unit for travel. Voltage regulation and the plugs you need. It even comes in a nice case to keep everything. Do I like traveling - Not really but this will charge all my accessories and keep me in contact while traveling. Highly recommended.

This is one of the happiest purchases I can remember. It is exactly as described and pictured. Only upon using it did I fully appreciate how well thought out it is. Many converters are so heavy that they fall out of some sockets. In this case, only a cord needs to go into the wall socket or a very light weight adapter with the cord. But the heavier electronics sit on a table or floor. And it's not just for foreign travel. Since there is a US adapter, as an American, I could even use it for domestic travel. And it's so convenient to have this many outlets and USB ports. If this isn't enough, you really should carry less!

As in different countries they have different types of power plug this is perfect for any types. Nobody need to look / find power plug when they are traveling.I am traveling in this holiday outside of us , so I bought this.Most important, this gear( I say) is very useful also here in us . You don’t need different usb charger as it has 4 of them. That makes PowerPoint is enough for 4 accessories, which I think is great. I love this feature. I have never thought of this before I got this.

I bought this for traveling to Nigeria. I love that it comes with a storage bag. I haven't used it yet outside the country. Will be using it this March. So far I'm using it to charge my phone here and it works great. The last adapter/convertor I bought had my products falling off easy. This is definitely more sturdy and stable. This is a must have for world travelers. I know most people complain about noise or the product getting hot. I'm using it at home and I don't hear anything at all and it's not hot. Definitely a product worth buying.

We just finished a five week trip to Australia and New Zealand with the Gearco Travel Adapter. We were travelling with a couple of phones, laptop, smart watch and batteries for a camera. What made my wife happy was she could use her hair dryer and curling irons. The unit handled the high wattage devices without any problem. The unit was quiet unless high wattage items were being used and then a fan kicked in to cool the electronics to prevent the unit from overheating. Another feature that I appreciated was that the Geargo emblem glowed a light blue to show the unit was turned on and receiving power. After this trip, I realized how valuable phones can be as a travel tool. Without a reliable way of charging the phones, the trip would have been more challenging.

I think it's only good for about 300 watts. It caused my wife's expensive curling iron to malfunction and fail completely (I wasn't in the room at the time nor had I read the small print about how many watts it provided). She was furious.Both her hair dryer and curling iron required over 2000 watts each. She was NOT trying to use them at the same time. It worked ok for the cell phones and ipad.
