Possibly my favorite Amazon purchase of all time.
I was looking for a new teapot for sharing tea at work because my old teapot spilled consistently at the end of a pour. This electric kettle absolutely does that job very well --- the handle is quite comfortable, it pours very cleanly, and the only occasional spill is a rare single droplet that drips from the spout after setting it down after a pour. This kettle does so much more than provide a clean pour, however! Firstly, it deserves top marks for its innovative percolator design... haven't seen many other products like this on Amazon marketed in the tea sector. I'm very, very happy with the results that come out of this kettle. I've brewed a variety of teas and tisanes: jasmine green tea, darjeeling black tea, and schisandra berries to name a few. The color is consistently much fuller and richer than I've ever gotten from steeping the same teas, and the flavor is always strong but not bitter. I've also found that I can use much less tea leaves than I used in my traditional "steep basket" teapot and yet I still get much better results from this kettle. I always brew on the "strong tea" setting, which starts out at a 600W strong boil, then moves to a 300W light boil, then switches automatically to "keep warm."The "keep warm" feature is particularly excellent. It could really be called "keep hot" because the tea remains piping hot and fresh tasting while still below a visible simmer. But the best part is, thanks to that awesome percolator design where the tea leaves are suspended above the water and rinsed rather than steeped: once the water stops boiling, the tea stops being rinsed/brewed. So there's no reason to remove the leaves from the kettle until you're ready to clean or switch to a different tea, as once the kettle switches automatically to the "keep warm" setting, the leaves stop affecting the flavor.Cleaning is very easy, and the aesthetic is quite pleasing as well. I've found the 1L size perfect for 1-3 people. I do wish there was also a larger size option however, as more of my coworkers want to drink my tea now since it tastes so good and looks so beautiful. Only having 1L to share inevitably leaves some of my friends crying into an empty cup :-POverall, easily worth the $40 USD. I'm already thinking about buying another one to use at home!

Keeps water warm
Fun, modern design and works great as a hot water pot, I haven’t tried using it to brew loose teas as of yet. I have tried all the settings—boiling, light tea, dark tea and warm options. Each option beeps when it starts in the setting, and then beeps 3 times when it’s complete...I have nicknamed it “Beeper” just for fun. It seems to take a while to boil, and once it’s boiled, it boils for about 5 minutes more, stops, then continues to start boiling again if left on this setting. This causes tremendous evaporation, so I have to stay near the pot to turn it to warm quickly after it boils. I like that it stays warm for 5 hours, this is really why I purchased it. Shuts off after 5 hours of no use. The carafe seems durable, and it’s easy to disassemble and clean. Max fill line holds 1000ml, but I put a little more in up to the spout. The lid is a little funky to open and close at first, but once you figure out that the dot lines up with the unlock spot, it’s just a twist to lock and unlock.

Update: From Outrage to Obsession
Update: I'm glad a coworker calmed me down and talked me into reordering. This is the best tea kettle ever. I've been waiting for them to restock. It does take a little more effort to clean, but it is totally worth it for perfect tea every time. Say bye bye to bitterness from over steeped tea. Love the keep warm feature as well. All stains are easily removed with a simple wipe from magic eraser type sponges. Or you can remove the center rod and basket after brewing and set them aside. I've been using mine for over a year now and hope nothing ever happens to it. If you're in the fence, it's worth a shot in my opinion.Original:I was eagerly waiting this delivery, but my excitement quickly turned to disappointment and disgust moments ago when I opened the box and saw liquid stains and filth all over this kettle and a tattered manual. I'm puzzled, because at no point was there even an option to select a used product. I certainly wouldn't have chosen any such option if it had been available; and even assuming I would, I certainly wouldn't find it acceptable to receive a dirty one. I paid full price and expect to receive a clean and new product. The only reason this received two stars is the kettle seemed to be of adequate quality when I removed it from the box. I can't comment on anything else, because I refused to use a dirty, returned kettle.

The only tea steamer that I can find on Amazon
An absolute recommendation!I'm a personally a tea lover and I've been drinking tea for years.Since last time I visited my father in law in China, and he showed me his tea steamer, I've been searching for a similar product to steam tea (rather than boiling tea) till recently, and I found this one.In simple words, steaming tea is just like espresso in coffee, using high pressure and hot steam to cook tea leaves, which makes the taste more strong and concentrated, in contrast, boiling tea is just like Americano coffee, lighter and weaker.Their product was the only tea steamer that I found on US Amazon, and it turned out to be a really good one!1. Their design is useful, simple and elegant, just 5 pieces of parts stay together, really easy to comprehend how to use, 3 functions: light tea, strong tea, keep warm.2. It did make good tea, I already tried with my Pu'er tea and Tieguanyin tea, and it turned out to be really good, much thicker and stronger taste compared with the boiling one that I used to make.I am personally informed that it is more favourable to use Pu'er tea, because that type can be cooked for over and over again.3. Really easy to clean, they have a tea leaves holder (upper steel bowl in figure 3), which holds all leaves in it for cooking and storage, every time you need to clean it, just tear that part off and dump all the leaves, that's it!I really love this product!
