Easy to set up as a mesh Network
I got this one because it is faster than the 300. As you know, if you do not hardwire this, half of the bandwidth will be used for input and half of the bandwidth will be used as output for wireless. However, since this one can handle a lot of bandwidth, and not just 300, it works extremely well! I set this up as a mesh Network in my house with the same name as my wireless router, but on a different channel. you can hard wire in, but where I wanted to put it, which was in the bedroom, I did not want to have to run wire. now my whole house is covered using the same network name so it just which is over without any problems. Plus, all of my devices still show up on my wireless router so I can manage things that are even on this repeater. perfect for what I needed, and quite frankly surprised at the speed that I am getting.

Product died
UPDATE: As of today April 25th, the product has died and cant connect to anything anymore. This thing almost lasted 2 months. It continued to lose connection regularly, then just flat out couldn’t connect again. Good paper weight now. This was ALMOST a 5 star. I used a Netgear Wifi extender previously that failed on me. After about the same time I've had this one, which was just over 2 weeks. So luckily, this one is still going. My main issue, and I'm honestly not sure if I'm the only one with this issue, but it constantly loses connection. I can't even keep count, and a complete random times. All the lights are on to indicate that things are connected. But then the light labeled "internet" will just go off. About a minute later, it will come back on and everything is working normally again. But again, it happens multiple times throughout the day. I'm not sure what the issue is, or why it even does that. The extender isn't that far from the router itself. But when this thing works, it works fantastically. I plan on updating this review again if something else happens later down the line but right now, I'm happy with it. It's just annoying that it loses connection so often.

"Back away carefully from this flawed product ... " Drops connection. Factory reset for MENU? Bah!
Very spotty coverage. Doesn't create a "MESH" network as devices need to constantly log in (& re-log into) your network. Drops internet randomly, so devices that play connected games will stall out. Perhaps the BIGGEST issue with these devices is that you lose the ability to log into devices once they're installedIf you want to change a password, etc., you need to do a FACTORY RESET and start over. This is time consuming and frustrating. A bit more focus on the long term usability of this device would give it a 4 or 5 star rating. As it stands, I returned it and checked daily to make sure the devices actually got refunded. Waste of time and $.

No instructions of how to make it work with my Mac or iPhone
No instructions of how to make it work with my Mac or iPhone! Do unit itself it’s OK and powers up however there are absolutely no instructions on how I can Configure it to work with either my iPhone or Mac and it does not auto install. I can see the Wi-Fi signal but it is not clear at all how to hook it up. Even worse nowhere in the instructions can I find any contact info about how I can reach the manufacture to do this.If you are the manufacture please write to me and try to rectify this as soon as possible otherwise I will simply return it.Why you would only have instructions for PC when a number of us is Max and iPhones is beyond me!

Useless
1. The manual has 12 pages on a single piece of paper (9x8"). Not readable with the naked eye.2. It does not work if your Router password contains special characters. I would not change my router PW for security reasons and because there are already a lot of other devices connected. I found a workaround by using guest access with a different password.3. It worked fine for a couple of minutes until the connection between the device and the router dropped.4. I did a factory reset (hold reset button for 8 seconds) and tried to connect to my router via WPS. This is not documented in the manual, but here on the Amazon page (press reset button for 2 seconds). This worked, even with the SSID that has a password containing special characters.I tconnected the Router with 5Ghz as well as with 2.4GHz, but the connection was always lost after a while. So I give it up and throw it away. There is no diagnose page, no possibility to set parameters manually.

can't connect
So frustrated! No management page pops up. If i use the IP address, it times out and does not connect. When I called Amazon support, they gave me another IP address which brought up the menu, but entering admin in username and password just looped and brought me back to signon. Sending it back.

Be patient to install
Upgraded my in home wifi system to 5G BUT still was not reaching "dead" areas in my 75 yr old home. My previous range extender just couldn't do it. When you receive this Wifi Extender, there are 2 forms of linking. Advise using your smartphone NOT PC installation. What I found worked: go to smartphone settings for wifi - then plug in new extender. The phone FINDS the IP address of the extender linking TO your Wifi receiver.I'm a 70 yrs old woman...if I could do this installation...you can too...if I find a glitch later on, I'll add further comments. ahhhh….

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
It deserves 0 stars but that wasnt an option!By far one of the worse purchases I have made. They claim its compatable with all routers and this certainly is not the case. I spent not joking an entire day trying to install this and it would not work. It not only took out my internet service for almost 24 hours I also had to reconfigure every device in my house because my internet password needed to be changed after trying to install this piece of crap. . I was looking to get a better connection for my wife bacause she teaches online but this certainly was not the case. Poorly made piece of technology. spend a little more $$$ and buy something made in the USA it will save you time and headache!!!!
