GMI MKB-77 Complete Dual Function Mic - Wired Or Wireless - Microphone System With Digital Receiver - Black

Received a unit that may have been previously used and returned. Internal packaging was questionable. Mike had good weight, but did not work wirelessly or wired. Receiver battery door would not stay closed. This was a purchase to be used as a back up interview mike for events. I returned this item and promptly received a refund. I did however buy another brand which has proved to fit my needs. A replacement might have been ok, but, I did not like how the internal packaging looked. This may be a great mike, my experience was not good and I choose not to try another unit. Your experience could be better, that would be your choice of course

I bought this as a budget secondary (wingman) mic for my karaoke system. At the time curiosity, price, and personal budget made this an attractive purchase. However, more than often you get what you pay for. The cordless option does work okay, but as stated there are problems with the mic cords, so have plenty of AA's. Wireless range is limited, and has a sizable hiss when no music is playing. That said, I would not recommend this mic for a lecture. As for sound quality, compared to my GC music store DR mic the vocals sound thin and nasally. I did take the end off the cord and it is missing the red wire my other cord has. When I plugged my working cord into the mic instead of the antenna it also did not work. I will keep the mic for the cost, convience, and for the tone deaf people that make microphones smell like a beer.

I am updating my original review as new information has come to light. The Microphone worked fine using the supplied antenna and receiver; however the supplied chord for the microphone just did not work and caused very nasty feedback. Just note that your chord may or may not work.I gave it 4 stars because the microphone, wireless antenna and receiver all did work and it comes with a handy carrying case.The seller contacted me and is sending our a new chord... I wish to give them kudos for stepping up to replace this chord without me even asking them to do so.

mic worked fine but the wireless adapter needs work. It had to be rigged in order to make it work properly.

I purchased this microphone for my 2, 3, and 6 year old girls to perform in our living room. It's perfect for that.To be honest, if they put their hand in the wrong spot, the sound cuts in and out on the wireless signal and the sound quality over all is not fantastic. I wouldn't use this for anything other than a toy or hobby item, but it definitely works well for that!It is possible that the seller of this product has provided the product at a discount or for free in return for a thorough and truthful review.
