I love Adidas stuff. I’m a avid soccer player and have been wearing Adidas for years. The one rule though is if you are a LARGER in anything in North America, then you are an XL in Adidas. I normally wear Large adidas shorts, but that does translate to their underwear. So go one size bigger.
