I am usually a size L but I ordered the XL because this costume is supposed to be loose and I'd rather have to take it in than try to let it out. I am 5'7 for height reference and the gown does not reach my ankles but still seems long enough. The gown is a thick and 100% polyester. The fabric is actually slightly glittery up close, but it isn't noticeable from conversation distance. The hood is nice and big like in the movie and the sleeves are big and long without being inconvenient. The gown is slightly sheer despite being thick, so make sure you have a slip or at least skin color matching underwear. The belt has velcro fastening the back, it fits me well but I am very hourglass. The XL belt is 33" around when fully closed, because of the length of the velcro strip you could have it tighter or looser. The wig looks great but was too small for my head. My head is 23" around and I have long thick hair, so this may not be a problem for most people. The side buns on the wig are fairly small, nowhere near as big as in the movie.Each bun is 3.5 inches across. Out of the package the costume smells strongly of formaldehyde, so I would recommend a gentle wash on cold for the dress and a line airing out for all of it. This is a nice option for a Princess Leia's A New Hope costume if you don't want to have to make it from a pattern. For reference I am not wearing the wig in the photo of me in the costume. Since my hair is long and dark brown I will make my own cinnamon roll hair buns. The gun in the picture is a nerf gun I modded and does not come with the costume.

I was skeptical with some of the reviews and was afraid it would not fit. I took a chance and ordered this for a family Halloween costume and it was perfect for my needs!the dress fit well. it has a little shimmer to it. It was roomy without being too bulky. Im 5'3" and it was not too long! The dress is a little sheer, so definitely wear layers. I wore a pair of white capri leggings and a white shirt underneath.The wig is a little wonky. the buns are kinda small but the hood hides it all well without losing the character.The belt was a bit snug. I bought a plus size costume supposed to fit up to size 20. I don't know....it wont happen for those on the larger size of the spectrum if it was snug on me.overall the costume works for my needs and I recommend it.

I tried the "sluttly" white Leia costume first because I like the tighter fit and it is cheaper, but that was SOOOOO poorly made - seams not lined up, completely shear, all around cheap/trashy looking. I decided to try this one to see if it was any better and it is worth the extra $$$. This outfit fit amazingly and was much better quality!! I'm 5'3 and 112 lbs and the Small fits nicely! I like that the material is thick enough to where I don't need a slip and has a little sparkle up close, the seams all line up, and the hood is really cool. The sleeves were long too - in a good way, pretty much fit like the picture. The belt was nice as well. For some of these reviews saying it didn't fit, I wonder if they were trying to put it on their hips instead of waist? Again MUCH better belt than the other white Leia costume.My one complaint is the wig - the buns are more like mini-donuts than cinnamon rolls like her hair. I'm picky though, and want to look as legit as possible. I will probably just sock-bun my hair since it's brown now, but I am currently re-working this wig to see if I can fix it. I have pulled apart the buns thus far and just straightened the wig with hot water. I will try to re-form a bigger/better Leia bun with it tomorrow. I will be sure to update this review and maybe add a pic if it works!

Very pleased with this costume. I read the reviews before purchasing, and while some have had bad experiences with their Leia costumes, I thought the costume was very good for the price point. The material is slightly sparkly/shimmery but I think it made the dress look better quality. The belt was cheaply made but looked fine on. Because of the reviews regarding fit, I expected it to be large and drapey and it was just as I expected. I agree with others that the wig is rubbish, and even if I was desperate enough to wear the wig, it was too small to comfortably fit my head (and I have a small head). To get the buns, I cut the buns off the wig and bobby-pinned them on using my own hair to wrap around the outside. See photo of me and my pup! Enjoy!

This costume fit well and the see through material is easily solved with a body suit. But the wig is awful. I ended up buying a different wig because the wig is kinda what makes the outfit. If you have hair that you can make into Princess Leia buns, this will be perfect. If you need the wig, be prepared to spend extra money.

I got this costume for Halloween to match with my boyfriend who dressed up as Han Solo. I am a 5’2 14 year old girl. I weight 103 pounds and this costume fits perfectly! It seems like it’s kinda long in the picture because I was standing in grass but in reality it gets to my ankles. Even though the costume is really nice, it is really see through so I recommend to wear something under! The wig sucks so I also recommend to get those donut thingys for hair to do the buns which is what I did.

I bought based on the reviews but honestly it was quite a disappointment because when it arrived the package looked all messy. It looked as if somebody had already opened it, then when I took out the robe it was dirty! Maybe make up, I don't know but it definitely felt that it was a used costume. The wig was, like it said in other reviews, very small and the buns looked too small, nothing like the classic princess leia buns in the movie.The robe itself again, reviews were correct and is very thin and very see through keep that in mind. The robe it is kind of sparkly if you look closely.I ordered size XL and I'm 5'7" about 165 lbs and the belt for the love of God didn't even close, way too small for the size.I wouldn't waste my money on this product, not worth the money.

Compré este vestido para disfrazar a mi madre de princesa Leia y le quedaba que ni pintado, parecia ella y todo el mundo la felicitaba. Ver a mi madre de 70 años vestida de leia y que le quede genial, no tiene precio. Es un disfraz sencillo pero espectacular. Lo recomiendo.

Really gorgeous costume!! I ordered a size medium so that it was nice and baggy. The belt was a bit large but manageable. Overall would recommend this costume. This is my second time dressing as Leia and I’d day this costume was hands down better then the previous store bought costume of the same price. As a few others mentioned it is slightly see through. I just wore a sports bra and volleyball shorts under and I was just fine. One thing I do want to point out is that the wig is very low quality - the wig in my photo is not what this costume comes with. :)
