AMAZING... I'M IN LOVE WITH A MOTION SENSOR
My dad has Alzheimers and we have been desperately looking for something to let us know he's gotten out of bed at night. I seriously have bought four different alarms and they are all so loud and obnoxious. You have to get up and go to the alarm and turn it off and they all would scare my dad. Well this motion sensor is AMAZING!!! I've been using it for almost a month and it solved our problem. It has 38 different sounds that range from fast to slow and very pleasant. You keep it by you so only YOU hear it, and it has a volume control from loud to low. I put the motion detector by his door and it works every time. My room is WAY at the other end of the house and it works fine. I highly recommend this motion sensor alarm it is a life changer for us.

Useless
EDITED 5/30/2019: BOTH OF THE ALARMS I BOUGHT BEGAN FREQUENT FALSE TRIPPING AFTER A MONTH OR SO. FALSE ALARMS GO ON DAY AND NIGHT. I HAVE TURNED THEM OFF AND WILL DISCARD. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.ORIGINAL 3-STAR REVIEW:I bought one of these alarms with two sensors to monitor my tool shed and my driveway. Because there is no difference in the alarm tone from the two sensors, I was running from one window to another to figure out which sensor was alarming. I solved this by ordering another alarm with only one sensor to monitor the driveway with a different tone.Sensitivity is not adjustable and often alarms are triggered by squirrels and cats. The sensors' detection range seems to drop off after 30 feet or so but the angle of detection is wide enough to trigger the alarm when I approach from the side. This is ok for my purpose. I have found that on sunny, windy days the alarms are false triggered by waving trees and blowing leaves.Sound volume adjustment on the base units is selected by button pushes to get high, medium or low volume. I can't tell a significant difference between high and medium. There are 38 tones and tunes available, but I find them to be irritating electronic noise except for a couple of plain doorbell sounds.I've had these installed for a couple of weeks, so I can't comment of battery life for the sensors. 3xAAA batteries required per sensor. The base unit plugs in so batteries are not an issue for it.I am hoping that the sensors will survive outdoor weather. I installed two under my deck where they are semi-sheltered but can be dripped on by rain through the floorboards of the deck. The third sensor is sitting on an outdoor windowsill.I set up one of the base unit alarms outdoors in a sheltered location so that the alarm sound can be heard by anyone who approaches my toolshed. Hopefully, it will scare them off. It's loud enough on low volume to be heard inside my house. High or medium volume would probably irritate my neighbors. I set up the second base unit inside my basement on low volume (high or medium were too loud). If these survive the elements, I'll be satisfied with them. <SEE EDIT ABOVE>

On Vacation Security System
I ordered this trying to think outside the box on a vacation rental that didn't have an alarm system. My thought was that if I set these up using some 3M strips so I wouldn't damage the walls they would make great interior motion detectors. This would alert you of an intruder or allow you to truly sleep once you knew the kids had made it home from hanging out with friends. These allowed me to set the alert tone and did not go off without something moving in front of it so no annoying noise all night.I would buy these again if the first set stopped working.

Don't Hesitate
I tell you what, don't hesitate, just get it. This device alerted me today to a guy sitting on my porch putting one of my Amazon packages in the back of his jacket. We found out later what he did because our ADT camera caught him in the act, but this motion sensor alerted me to goto my porch, I'm guessing the thief heard me walking towards the door and walked off fast, though he left my Amazon package where he found it. Ironically the package he tried to steal was another one of these motion sensors we ordered for my sister, go figure.

This device is a potential safety hazard
I was only using one outside sensor. after ab out a week and a half the sensor stopped transmitting. I was first disappointed that the batteries only lasted that long. I replaced the battery and the sensor started working. the next day I noticed it was again no longer working. I checked the batteries to find that all 3 had split open inside the unit. I placed three more into the unit and after about thirty seconds the batteries were getting very hot. I determined there there is a malfunction in the transmitter so I am now using the second transmitter and don't know if this on will also malfunction. I should return the entire device but just don't have the time to go through the process to include re boxing the unit.

as describbed
I keep two of these (sensors) out in my shop and place the ringer in the house(about 150') to alert me of a nighttime meth-head looking for a five finger discount. So far, I've been alerted to cats, opossums, deer and birds, so it ought to detect when the local meth mouth comes around.

Product does the job with one exception
I bought this item is 2018 and have not changed the batteries, nor have had any issues with what the unit was designed to do. Understand this is a very cheap motion sensor so for the price it is perfect. If you expect it to function like a $100 sensor you might be disappointed. My one and only grip are the sounds. Way too many gimmicky and plain dumb ones, and not enough basic, door chime sounds. How about a simple one Note sound. Also, one important improvement would be to have a delay longer for example 5" or more, between the sound repeating.

Not really compatible for my needs.
I installed the unit outside on my covered small open porch in an effort to hear parcel delivery as it arrives. Problem is if the wind is blowing it picks up movement of trees twenty feet away. False alarms galore.I guess it would be suitable as a burglar Detector inside a garage or something, but every time you go out there it will go off, unless you turn it on before bedtime.
