I'm 5'9, I bought a medium one, it fits perfect. That's not the problem.I bought this for the renaissance festival in town and needed it by friday, the only one that would ship in time was the white one. It arrived in time, it fits, the problem is that these literally look like KKK robes. The hood is giant, and when I put the hood on it looks even more like a KKK outfit since the hood is pointy.I'm sure this was an accident, and they make these robes in many different colors. I'm going to wear them out regardless, and hope that the fact that I'm black will keep me safe from violent mobs. But if you're thi king about white I'd suggest red, black, or brown instead. I think these would look absolutely fire in red.If I dont make it home tonight, I'm leaving this review as a last note for my mother to know that I'm not Clayton Bigsby, or a blackkklansman. I'm just an unfortunate man who plans costumes at the last minute and its finally backfired.In conclusion, 4 stars.

There’s nothing wrong with this costume, except my lack of understanding what a hooded white robe would look like IRL. Order any color but white unless you want your teenager to look like a member of the KKK.Other than the unexpectedly racist look, the costume was good quality- nice accessories and fit. PLEASE just order any color except white.

I purchased this to use as a Halloween costume. Overall, for what I paid for it, I'd say it's reasonable. The construction quality seems solid. Like many others have said, it's quite long. I am 5'10" tall, weigh around 185lb (I comfortably wear a men's large shirt, and 32x32 Levi's.) The robe (size large) gets under my feet a little, and the sleeves completely cover my hands. I can't complain too much about the rope that it comes with. The cross is flimsy (and only an accessory for me - I bought the robe for the robe.) When the robe arrived, it came folded in a plastic bag, which is just fine, but the wrinkles from folding were really intense. I immediately washed and dried it. No washing instructions were provided, but it's 100% polyester or rayon, so I figured it couldn't hurt too much. While there was no damage done to the fabric or the color, the wrinkles held strong. It took me about a half hour to iron out about 90% of the wrinkles. I really can't figure out why they chose to use this fabric. Things would be so much nicer had they used a cotton blend - it'd look better, be more comfortable, and way easier to care for.Ultimately, if you need a robe to use as a costume, and if you don't want to spend big bucks, this'll probably be the one to choose. It is relatively well made, for the money. I just feel they could make some improvements.

I bought this for my husband to wear to the Renaissance Faire and he wound up not going and I changed my costume idea and well, magic happened. This thing is nicely made, fits true to size, and the cool thing is the hood part with the draping is a separate piece. I can see using it as a separate costume with a different garment. Anyway, I love it. I would wear it all the time if I could get away with it. Despite being super hot the day we went, it worked out well and wasn't too horribly hot to wear. And for fun, I sometimes wear this costume when I do housework now because it makes the daunting task of laundry more amusing. True story.

This was a great help when summoning our dark lord satan:) he was pleased with the nice red it helped hide the lamb blood.

It was exactly what I was looking for.I'm 5'10" and fairly thin so the medium fit perfect.The quality of the fabric is great along with the rope. The cross is made of wood with a metal chain. The robe and hood are separate as well, if you want to go without the hood. Overall, I am satisfied and the price is definitely fair.

This robe looked very good with a plaque mask. The material thickness and drape was better than I expected. My husband usually wears a medium size tshirt, so that is what I ordered based on reviews saying this runs large. It was actually a little too narrow on his shoulders when he had a sweatshirt on underneath- he does have broader than normal shoulders. Not a dealbreaker however-still wore it just fine on halloween, only if he would extend both arms in front of him it would be a little tight in back.

This was better then I expected.Material: burgundy cloth robe, with a separate cloth hood, cross, and belt made from rope. The cross and belt are simple and good. If you are wanting this outfit to last a while consider getting something to wrap the end of the belt so it does not unravel over time (see details below)Fit:Length-I'm 6 foot tall, athletic build, 195 lbs. The night I wore this I had on hiking shoes with a thick heal. The rob came down right to the top of my shoes. Fitting a perfect length. If you are shorter consider pins or staples to shorten the length.Girth- I'm fit and had lots of room. My suit chest size is a 41/42 and waist is a 32/33 if this helps. I assume (just a guess) someone that wears a 45 suit could fit this and still have room. If you have a belly, there too is lots of room. Sleeves are baggy as per style of a monk robe and stopped just past my wrist.I wore this with out the hood. In this fashion the neck is very wide and shows your t-shirt just as it should. I wore a black undershirt and got lots of approval.Hood- as stated I didn't wear it. Being in Southern California it was hot and I had face paint. I did attempt to put it on but the neck line seemed tight and I didn't want to mess up my face paint.Cons: Directions on how to tie the rope belt to look authentic are not provided.I did not have a problem with the belt, yet I can see it unravel with repeated use.Packaging:2 reusable ziplock bags that make storage easy.Overall, Im very happy with my purchase. It was better then expected. The belt type and cross necklace look good and add a great touch.

The image used to promote the item and what you actually receive are different. The quality of the material is severely lacking and overall does not present as the seller image indicates. The material is coarse and rigid and you cannot hot press it to remove the awkward creases. It's fine if you're looking for a budget costume last minute but over all it's in credibly lack lustre. Wasn't expecting anything amazing from the price but somehow still disappointed with the overall quality.

In my usual way, I'd failed to prepare for my medieval fancy dress party. A quick browse on Amazon lead me to this product which i could get delivered with my Prime Account.Needless to say I was one of three or four monks on the day. I was very impressed with the quality of this outfit relative to the competition. The outfit represented good value for money.Words of caution - this outfit has no pockets. I wore trousers underneath which wasn't a huge inconvenience - but perhaps wear some shorts.Secondly, and perhaps more importantly - this outfit has a very pointed hood. There's a white outfit option, I'd avoid this as people will undoubtedly assume that you're a klansmen.All in all though - really pleased with the purchase.

Take the sizing chart with a pinch of salt, I bought the large expecting it not to fit as even though my chest size and height were in the right range (I'm 5"10 with 44 inch chest) I am a fair bit heavier than the recommended weight but it fits plenty big, where it loses the star for me is the fact the hood is pointed instead of round which really doesn't come out in the pictures, I bought the black but if you bought the white you could accidentally be mistaken for the KKK pretty easily in my estimation, other than that pretty happy with the purchase.

Ordered 2 but they were sent separately from different companies, took a few weeks to deliver and didn’t think they would arrive. Did the job for a Halloween costume. Ordered both in medium size, one was huge the other one ok but wore it for about an hour before the seems split so can’t wear it again.

I do love this costume but definitely needed a little alteration. The material is a workwear material and quite robust stitching. I bought it for a nightclub type Halloween event and was a little warm in it with a pair of shorts and a thin t -shirt underneath. I went with large and am 5' 11" with a 34 " waist and reasonably well built. It needed darts putting in the back to take it in and some alteration to the bottom so I was able to dance in it (not much freedom as is). With the hood down it looks great. With the hood up its a bit too pointy like a wizard hat so altered this too.
