good quality
D'Addario makes the best reeds for saxophones. They are smooth and easy to play. This is the only kind of reed I use. D'Addario has a variety of saxophone reeds for every level of musician. I love that D'Addario is a sustainable company and I can trust that the quality of their products will never change.D'Addario has a wide range of saxophone reeds that are made for different playing styles. I love the fact that D'Addario is an organic reed company. This is a great option for musicians who are concerned about the health of their instrument. I also love the different styles of reeds that D'Addario offers. These reeds are available in a range of hardness, so I never have to worry about buying my favorite reed again. These reeds are really good for beginners and for those who are looking for a very mellow sound. They work well with a variety of musical genres, from jazz to rock and even funk. They have a great sound, and are perfect for beginners.

Good as far as I can tell
I have only just started to play sax and as such don't really know much about reeds - I wasn't even sure what the difference between the various grades was. When I bought my instrument, it came with some Rico reeds which I am told are pretty good quality. I don't know how true that is, but I have no reason to doubt it. I didn't have any trouble playing with them at least. These do seem in some way that I can't put my finger on to be better, though. If I was a more experienced player, I could probably be more specific about how they have made a difference, but as it is, all I can really say is that I am delighted with these reeds. I'm so new to the instrument that I have to say I don't even know whether this is a reasonable price, but if each one lasts a couple of months I don't think it's too bad (to be honest, I don't even know if two months is a good amount of time for a reed to last). I'm sorry my review isn't more helpful, but as I received them as a Vine item, I have to leave a review.

D'Addario Organic Jazz Filed Tenor Saxophone Reeds.
It's been a while since I played my old tenor sax, so I've had to factor in the lack of practice and likely change in my embouchure in making my assessment of these.I generally use Rico 3s with Vandoren 3s as alternatives; I changed my mouthpiece some years ago and the 3s gave me a harder tone, but I also had to adapt a little to get my lower range; these reeds seem to be a wee bit softer so I can get my lower register without too much concern and the tone (remember I'm not playing regularly) is acceptable, if a shade less attractive than it once was.I'm actually quite happy with these; the instrument isn't a good one, but these reeds still offered me control over my sound and playing across the full range, so I'm pleased.I'll see how they are when they are more played-in and how long they last. They seem a bit pricey (I remember reeds costing less than a couple of quid) but for a pack of 5 of this quality I guess that's justified.

Great reeds
These are premium quality, easy to shave to the desirable thickness, great sound and they last a good amount of time without splitting. The price is reasonable to be fair. Very happy.

Eco-friendly, premium price
There's an old adage about diminishing returns. A set of speakers that cost ten pounds will quite probably be ten times better than a pair of speakers costing a pound. And a pair of speakers costing a hundred pounds might very well be ten times better than the pair that cost a tenner. But a pair of speakers that cost a thousand pounds will only be marginally better than the hundred quid pair.So these reeds, immaculate eco-credibility apart, might well be the best reeds you can possibly buy, given that they are about ten times the price of the basic model. But can one shaped sliver of bamboo really be ten times better than another shaped sliver of bamboo? It seems questionable. Still, if you only want the very best...
