Since my new laptop only has an HDMI slot, and no VGA slot, I really needed this kind of adapter. I've been using this adapter for almost a week and it works very well on my old monitor so far.In local stores these adapters are fairly expensive. Then the reason I went with this adapter against other adapters offered in Amazon is that it doesn't require an extra input for power and I don't really need the audio output, only image. (The first time you plug in you will have to change your audio output target, or sound will be muted)The only con I can point out is that the output image seems to have very slight noise. It's not very noticeable (mostly on fine text or small images). When watching movies or streams it doesn't bother me at all. Though I haven't compared with other adapters, so it could be my monitor.All in all I'm happy with what I got and especially happy that I didn't pay for an expensive adapter in a local store. Would recommend.

Bought so that I could run a raspberry pi on an old pc monitor with a VGA input. Worked very well for me, screen displays perfectly and looks better than standard definition (I know it sounds strange but try putting youtube on 4K and watching on a HD screen, you should see what I mean)... Seems of good quality for the most part and I wanted one that I could screw the VGA plug into.Only thing is I wish the lead were longer so that I could just use a gender changing vga plug to my screen.Mine came in a white/clear plastic bag with nothing else but its self explanitory really.

I recently purchased a Pipo X9 hybrid tablet/stand alone box and decided I wanted to use this in conjunction with my desktop monitors rather than a TV. After looking around for HDMI to VGA and DVI converters I came across the Xgeek adapter. I've used a lot of adapters in the past and have to say most failed at their purpose (all being HDMI to DVI). The Xgeek 1080P VGA adapter works perfectly, and in fact it's outputting at a resolution of 1920 x 1200 with ease. Price is amazingly reasonable, and have paid more for ones that do not work.

It works fine with a PC, but I got it for my Macbook, and it doesn't work with a Mac.

Just the job. Simple and easy to use, but be careful as I had a blank screen at first until I changed the PC settings to allow me to use a monitor, well my TV with a VGA Socket in the back.Also when I tried to buy these from a well know computer store they wanted more than £40!!! When I asked I thought he said £14 but was told, no its actually £40 so very happy I found this on Amazon.

Works with Wii U & my friend's Linux machine, but doesn't work with my Macbook Pro Retina 15", or my friend's Macbook Pro Retina 13". Completely unusable - no image appears and the screen on my MBP turns on and off. Bit weird.

This was just what I needed. Came very quick and well packaged. I wanted to attach an external monitor to my laptop, but my laptop only has HDMI out. Found this gem and ordered it. Fits like a glove and does the job of converting HDMI to VGA. Monitor working great. For me, the product just plain didn't work. I have both a MacBook pro with HDMI out which I wanted to take to VGA for use with university AV systems which are quite old and use VGA. On straight HDMI to HDMI my MacBook Pro was fine. I also have an older laptop which on a straight VGA out-VGA with the same monitor proved the VGA socket on the monitor and my VGA cable were fine.This adapter just would not work with my MacBook Pro and my monitor - the HDMI connector seemed not to be a snug fit in the HDMI port like my standard cable. I did try it on other equipment to check it wasn't just my cable/monitor or my laptop, but nothing would work.I sent it back and got a refund promptly which was good, but the build quality doesn't seem great.

Funciona perfectamente, pero he observado que mis compañeros de trabajo tienen dispositivos similares que además tienen una salida de audio para el monitor.

Funciona a la perfección.No necesita ninguna instalación, plug and play.Recomiendo su compra para todo aquel que necesite una salida de vga a través de un hdmi

Conecté una fuente con HDMI a un monitor VGA y no se ve nada. He probado con varios monitores (de PC) y nada. para mi no es recomendable este cable. saludos
