Works GREAT! I found an easier way than "discovering" device. (Read Below)
OK, I had problems setting the sensor into "discovery" mode. I reset the device over, and over, and over again, with NO luck. I finally went into "Manually Add Device", "Open/Close Sensor" and chose "Nortek GoControl" and, VOILA!! It worked flawlessly. I added 2 more in the same fashion and they've been working perfectly for about a week. I am using a "Samsung SmartThings 2018 (latest rev.)" Hub. I have a KwikSet "Convert", Leviton 110 Outlet and 3 Haozee Open/FClose sensors. I LOVE it and am ordering a TON more stuff to automate and/or monitor. Gotta LOVE technology, especially when it works! ALL of the items I have purchased have been easy to implement so far. I am purchasing quantity 6, Leviton Z-Wave 110 Light Switches. This way I can set automations to turn lights on when I enter my home or, turn lights off and on when I'm away.

Sensor doesn't work
I bought 4 different z-wave/wink compatible door/window sensors to try out on my house. This sensor paired well with the Wink hub 2 however, even while laying on a counter with both pieces together it would not register the "door" as closed. I am returning this sensor and I do not recommend it for any application, as the sensor cannot sense when the pieces are together vs not.

easy to install, multi-frequencies Z-Wave (Europe, North America, ...)
Very easy to install and add to Z-Wave networkGreat feature : it works with different z-wave frequencies (Europe, North America, ...)Z-Wave radio range is goodImportant note for those who may say it does not work well : the magnetic sensor is on the side (there is a small on both parts)

Incredibly short sensor range, non-intuitive setup
I've seen some other door sensors in /the exact same housing/ (but with different hardware) that were really friendly with the distance between the magnets, and where they could be placed. This one however, pretty much requires that the magnet be almost touching (as opposed to 2-3 widths away), and will only work in one specific spot (where the notches are on either piece). I tried substituting the magnet with a stronger one from one of the longer-distance sensors, but did not see any difference. In my case, I've got it mounted in my mailbox. Due to the required proximity, it was nigh-impossible to find a working spot to mount it without causing one or the other of the pieces to be knocked off.Likewise, if you use Samsung SmartThings, the setup guide is incredibly unintuitive. I can only half-fault the manufacturer on this, as it's fully intended to be a generic-use guide. However, if anyone else stumbles upon this looking for an answer, tell the app that it's a SmartThings device -- specifically 'Other' from the list. Do not attempt to use the scan option, or try to find it in the brand list, or attempt to substitute brands. Even though it's not a Samsung device, it will add as one.

Never Come To A Dark Apartment Again! (Home Assistant)
The media could not be loaded. The door sensor pairs with GoControl CECOMINOD016164 HUSBZB-1 USB Hub which talks to Home Assistant. Home Assistant senses the door is open, so it turns on my living room light. Once the door closes, Home Assistant starts a timer and dims the light a bit for a second or two before bringing the light back to full brightness. Once the timer is finished, Home Assistant turns off the living room light.Although the door/window sensor installs easily, the magnet has to be very close to the sensor, which made it a little tricky due to the bevel around the door frame. If the magnet is strong enough, I don't have to worry too much about that but it is important to keep the magnet as close to the sensor.Welcome to the 21st century. :)

Bad unit?
The sensor is extremely particular about the close/open status. Meaning that if the sensor isn't EXACTLY in just the right place it shows as open. Maybe I have a defective unit, as it's now not responding as only having it in place for couple months. I've got it in a location that's basically besides several other hard-wired zwave devices so reception should not be an issue at all.

Great addition to my system. I'll be getting some more.
Now that Alexa can give push notifications, these work perfectly for my situation. I installed them with no problems whatsoever with my Smartthings. From there to get Alexa to notify me verbally with a custom message of "Front door is opening" and "front door is closed" Same with the back door. In the Alexa app you have to uninstall the smartthings skill and reinstall it to get the messages to work. Easy to do, once you know how...but now it's cool to get the notifications from Alexa. I can also ask Alexa if the front, (or back) door is open, (or closed), and she'll tell me the status. She can also tell me if the doors are locked.
