You need this. Really, you do.
This thing is amazing. I read another review, one of the highest rated as 'helpful', stating it can be used repeatedly in one session and daily, and it can. As long as you rotate through an area and don't repeatedly zap the same spot, you're good. ***WEAR THE GOGGLES*** I think mine is the Japanese version because there's literally maybe 10 words in English on the entire package, insert and all, but after reading the other reviews, it's pretty self-explanatory how to use it.: Shave the area, dry off well and don't lotion. Plug it in, hold power button, press power button to raise or lower the level of intensity (you'll see the little digital icon change), find a spot and touch the head unit to the skin, and when the light blinks green, press the button to activate. BRIGHT FLASH, a bit of warmth, and if you pay attention, you can feel the spots with hairs are actually a bit warmer. wait a few seconds, move to the next area, repeat. Once you go over an entire area, you will still see some hairs, probably feel some growth the next day or two, but after a couple of uses, it'll thin out. If you don't shave, you will feel and smell burning hair and you'll not get the same results because the hair itself is absorbing the heat and not the follicle.I have very thin, fine hair, not a lot of it, but I loathe shaving and waxing. It's patchy on my legs, probably because I always wear jeans, and after one treatment on one leg, there is definitely a difference in the amount of hair. You can use it on your bikini line... you can use it pretty much *anywhere* as long as you have the setting right and use reasonable caution with it. The other review is spot-on; I've done several treatments over the course of days, hitting the few spots where the hair is coarser more than once. The few hairs that were starting to grow back, I tweezed to see if there was any difference in how they're 'anchored in' by the follicle, and on almost every one the follicle is definitely damaged, and the hair came out much easier than tweezing in the past. I expect that after a few treatments over the same area, through a full growth/dormant cycle, the hairs will be gone.My underarm hair is extremely thin and fine, almost non-existent, and I've noticed NO growth back at all after two treatments.I will not tell you to use it other than how the instructions say, I will tell you that I have, with good results and no evident damage to my skin anywhere. If it continues to work like it has so far, I will end up handing it off to a few friends, sanitized of course, because mine came with well over 350k pulses on the lamp and I'm still way over that number; I don't doubt it will have at, or just below 350k left when I'm done with it. Price-wise, it may seem like a fairly large investment, but with waxing, even doing it at home, there's the warmer, then constant refresh of wax tubs, spreaders, muslin strips, WAX REMOVER BECAUSE YEAH, IT CAN GET MESSY, and substantially more time involved, nevermind that if you accidentally wax over your skin more than once, you can pull the top layers off. Not. Good. At. All.Don't IPL anywhere that you might want to keep hair, especially if your texture and coloring are optimal for use because it isn't coming back like it was...I was considering laser hair removal, which, by quantity and type of hair, would have been relatively cheap for me, but even this is less than one full session, in the privacy of my own home, and a couple of other people are going to end up getting to use it for free.

Highly recomend!!!!
Highly recommend!!!Highly recommend this at-home hair removal device! I've light skin tone and dark color hair, and use it for my legs. After 6 treatments, most of my leg hiar stop growing, and just need to do the treatment when needed. I was worrying about the problem of pain like most of users, but when did it at the first time, it just like a sting and there wasn't any discomfort. I'm very satisfy with this purchase, would recommend to my friends!!

Mixed Results for a mixed girl
So... I returned this. It did not work for what I bought it for. I was interested in decreasing chin hair... I have roughly 7-10 very stubborn, dark chin hairs. I concentrated on this area, but did my entire face.About me, I am mixed. Mostly black and white. I have dark auburn/reddish brown hair. However I have dark brown facial hair (eyebrows, eyelashes, and unfortunately, chin hair). I also have some finer auburn hair (peach fuzz and 90% of my mustache). This did not work on anything except my mustache.. including the few darker and coarser hairs. I am what most make up groups label as tan or medium/dark. Lets say somewhere between the color of Beyonce and Rihanna, depending on the season. I went all the way up to level 3 on the laser without any skin reactions. I choose not to go any higher because I have sensitive skin and I do sunburn, so I was scared anything higher would cause skin damage since the chart said I was a level 2. Based off the results I got for my mustaches I think it likely would have worked on my arms and maybe my legs (I have sparse fine body hair) but the coarser hair of my underarms and bikini area likely would not have worked. I used it for 6 weeks and saw no reduction for coarse facial hair.

2 Treatments, and virtually hairless!
Im a Caucasian medium-fair, dark brunette, age 41. While not wowed with the timing between flashes (6 sec), it is worth the time taken. Results are very satisfying- above 90% removal! I had coarse, cacti legs before. I enjoy the smooth softness of my skin now more than I thought I would. If you find yourself continually reaching down for a feel of your new, miraculously sleek legs, just know you are not a weirdo. Taking the advice of another reviewer, I decided I'd give each target area of my skin 4-5 sequential snaps of light before moving to the next (as some feel painful enough after 4 zaps). I only ever used lower than level 5 when concerning the nethermost regions, and even then didn't stray below 3. Yep, I zapped every offending area from the nose down. I've done 2 sessions this way, with the extra zapping. I could hardly consider it painful until past zap #4/5, except when concerning the inner parts of the Brazilian zone. Not an entirely bad way to spend an hour or so (maybe 2, not sure- but I did everything), especially if you have a good book on tape to listen to. Know you'll be competing with a constant blowing fan noise, though. Believe you me, you'll want to close your eyes with each zap, as that is an intense light, dark shades notwithstanding. Wish I'd have gotten this product years ago! It'lll be paying for itself very quickly in shaver costs, to say nothing of time savings. One quirky thing I noticed: the box says " weak pulsed light" on it. Uhhhh...not sure why it doesn't say " intense" pulsed light. But, never fear, it is surely an intense light! Chinese packaging sans English- born translation at least makes for some chuckle- worthy goofiness. Well, Happy zapping, my fellow Amazonian. The Rainforest doesn't disappoint on this product! Side note: I previously purchased another IPL laser on Amazon, but returned it because it waited 8 seconds between flashes. The feeling of that light was identical to this one. I feel like when comparing the many devices of this category, a good feature to zero in on is the lag between flashes.
