Keyboard Replacement with Frame Compatible with HP Pavilion 17-E 17-E000 17-e100 Serries Laptop Black US Layout

Had an unfortunate Covid19 Quarantine Zoom Happy Hour spill on my keyboard. Although I cleaned it up in seconds, it was enough to render a portion of the keys unresponsive. This meant not being able to enter my login credentials or search words if I even got on. I even used a wireless USB Keyboard & Mouse, but that didn't make sense long-term. After looking at how much I'd have to spend to replace my HP Notebook 17, I decided to crack that bad-boy open and deal with it myself.Installation was easy and the part worked immediately. As long as you're careful during installation, I don't see why this part won't work for you too. Subtle differences with the OEM keyboard, but for the price...who cares. Back up and running for $16 as opposed to spending $800+ for a new laptop.

Keyboard is a bit smaller than the original but fits fine and works like a charm. 4 stars only because of fitment.

Certain keys aren't working properly.I ended up going to Wal mart and getting a wireless keyboard which work fine.

I spilled water on my laptop and some keys on the keyboard stopped working. I never replaced a laptop keyboard before, but I'm glad I did in this case. It was easy and you can't beat the price of this keyboard! It seems laptop prices have gone up with COVID, glad I could keep my existing laptop with this repair.

Works perfectly with a HP 17-E049WM Laptop

In the description it says that it is backlit. It is not, not in the way I define it. The only light is the shift lock key which shows itself as an annoying single bright light glaring unhindered from the space between the caps lock key and the next key. The Wi-Fi and mute keys do not light up, despite having the lights on them. It installs easy, the keys have a nice push and it works like it should. Wrote the seller a few days after receiving it to inquire about the ADVERTISED BACKLIGHT that the keyboard i received did not have. Was this a mistake or a faulty product? I, much like you, will never know. They have never answered any of emails.I chose this keyboard because its description showed up under my original keyboard of choice due to the dollar or two i might save on this one. I would have GLADLY spent the few extra bucks for the backlight. Instead of arranging a return and proper replacement or refund, my request was ignored. As far as the keyboard goes, aside from the misplacement of the ANNOYANCE that was the caps lock key, i had zero issues, it was easy to install, the keys have a nice push, and all components and parts fit as well as the original. However, misleading ads and absent customer service all to make a buck is not deserving of anyones business. If backlit is what you are looking for, this isnt it.
