Very brittle and thin
My experience: This is so brittle it developed a long crack from normal handling. Trying to put the suctions cups in place was challenging, but they certainly will not come off of the unit accidentally. My other fish keep getting stuck between the unit and the wall of the aquarium. :( This should have a tab at the bottom, keeping it away from the wall of the tank to prevent other fish from becoming trapped. If the material was sturdier and they added a tab at the bottom of the side that goes against the tank wall, I would buy more. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go free my 2 trapped female bettas - trapped between this unit and the wall of my tank. :(

Good fish holding cell, with possiblity of fish homicide.
I used this as an isolation tank only, certainly not a breeder tank, and definitely not as a quarantine tank. Right now Ive jailed the murder snail in there and it's working well. The design is preferable for me and my tank, no one will drown IN it with regular inspections and maintained positioning, and escape is only possible if the numerous and powerful suction cups fail. There have been INCIDENTS in the past where three of the "special" Glofish-Danio have lodged themselves behind the tankand against the aquarium wall and essentially suffocate there, not fun. The bottom piece is detachable and can sometimes do just that if messed with too much. The divider inside seemed to cause more problems then fix and my Betta managed to slip past the divider and swim up into the bubbler tube once, good times- scrambling madly to see if your fish is alive... Trial and error and survival of the fittest, is what I say now that everyone in the tank gets it and because the suicidal fish we're not expensive, but if you have some trouble makers maybe just set up another complete holding tank, you might not have time or money to cover trial and error.

Could've been better
I had 2 different guppies giving birth and wanted to keep the fry separate but there is nothing to keep them apart in the bottom chamber. It would've worked better if they included another piece to separate the bottom like they did for the top. Also, the fry that have fallen to the bottom can swim back up to the mother through the little gaps on the sides. This defeats the purpose of having them separate to the bottom for protection of being eaten by the mother.

Perfect for a little tank
The media could not be loaded. This is a perfect size for my small 5 1/2 gallon tank. Great for the price as well

Good
I flipped it sideways and used it as a bed for my betta probably going to cover it with moss and have a nice cave resting place

Does the job
Little smaller than i pictured. Works pretty well, but we watched as one of our guppoes dropped fry in it, and half of them didn't fit thru the slot and we had to rescue with a turkey baster :) if we weren't there, this would have saved about half of the 20.

First one arrived damaged, second one was okay
I had ordered this after I lost a fish I was unable to get separated from the rest of the tank to have "just in case". It arrived looking like the first 2 pictures. I requested a replacement and received it 2 days later (sent the damaged one back). That one came fully intact thankfully.I was super careful sliding the suction cups in which was hard to do, probably harder than it should have been but after seeing how cracked the first one was I was afraid of cracking the new one.
