Great value, sturdy, and sleek
Getting set back up to work on jewelry again, and needed an inexpensive, but quality bench. I received this surprisingly quick, and came in perfect condition. It was easy to follow the manual, as well as to put together, though a little time consuming. I’d say between 45 min to an hour, from unpacking to finish. Like a few other reviewers mentioned, I did have one hole I couldn’t line up, though it wasn’t anything that will matter. Even still, feels very sturdy, and provides a decent sized work space. 11/10 would recommend

Good for a starter bench
Pro and con list:Pros:-It’s a actual jewelers bench-Decent size-Sweeps tray has a metal bottom (not sides though)-Has drawers-Pretty heavy-Parts provided-has arm restsCons:-Soft wood (can scratch with my finger nail if I push hard)-The instructions tell you to attach the part G and H together with the screws provided. This is meant to say attach parts G and H with the bolts instead I believe. I damaged my top surface because of this so just be aware-Bench peg is massive and needs to be screwed or otherwise secured to not wobble. and the pre cut hole for it is bigger than any bench peg I’ve seen. But a dovetail peg system can solve that-Arm rests could use more support to hold more weight-Very shallow curve making you have to scoot back if you want to have the sweeps tray pulled out while using the bench pinOver all I’m happy with it. It’s a good starter bench.

Pleasantly surprised
When I realized that many stores carry this product, I got the idea that is was a cheaply made chinese production. But ultimately I was working within a tight budget, so this bench was my best bet. After looking at many of them from different sellers, I found it at Finding King for under $300 with free shipping, so I took a chance and ordered. It arrived within a few days, and the box was branded by Grobet USA. I was happy to discover that the wood was pretty high quality and finished, and that the holes for construction lined up fairly well (bench top took a little finagling to get all the screws in). Once constructed, I was impressed by the strength and sturdiness of the piece. The other cool thing is that if you are handy, you can modify it easily to add features specific to your trade or methods. All in all a great buy, and would recommend. Keep in mind that it does require some basic construction and may not be as easy to assemble as a new dresser from IKEA (jewelers benches are not a billion dollar industry) :)

Low quality soft wood, unusable bench pin, but reasonably sturdy.
This product is all wood, unlike competitors in its price range, but it’s low quality wood (think 2x4’s from Home Depot) with copious knots and some cracked pieces. Assembly is pretty straightforward except for one machining error on mine ( the cam hole in the long pieces that joined the sides were off by 1/8”, which was enough to prevent the screws from engaging). Assembly would have been a lot quicker if I had read the instructions through and made sure I understood every step and measured the machined parts before I started. There are quite a few screw holes that are difficult to reach and not visible while you are working…a ratcheting Allen key would have saved a lot of time and aggravation. As for the bench pin, it’s such a sloppy fit that it’s unusable, but a clamp-on bench pin fits in the slot and works just fine.

DO NOT BUY THIS WORKBENCH
If you are a jeweler and looking to have a good sturdy workbench, stay away from this light material that is made with pine. For $360 this should have been made with oak or something better. It is too tiny, wobbly, hard to assembly (took 4 hours to align everything), damaged areas, patched up areas with some sort of wood filler. And the metal catch tray they say that it is metal, it looks like they lined it up with some soft aluminum paper that is already damaged. What a joke. They changed the color of the photo to make it look like it is made with maple wood, hence the warm tones on the product photo but it is oak and light. The skirts suppose to add some weight to it, but they are paper thing, provides no value.SAVE your money for something larger, better. I had to invest in something $45 to install a tool because the top wood and one under for the surface don't align. Already costing me more money to get around. I wish I didn't buy it. This product should have been $170 not $360+

Great Jewelers Bench
This is a very nice jewelers workbench. I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift. She was very surprised and uses it daily. The bench went together in an hour or so and I followed previous reviews I had read and applied a high quality wood glue to all joints as I assembled it. So far, so good. I was leary of the quality as it was made in China (as most everything else these days), but the wood was good quality and everything fit well. I was upset with the shipping costs though. Amazon advertised one shipping cost, which was why I bought it here, but it was a misprint, and the company supplying the item contacted me that they could not sell me the bench and ship it at the cost advertised. I ended up paying three times the advertised shipping fees due to the heavy weight. If I didn't need it for Christmas, I would have shopped around for a better price. The bench price was great, but the shipping cost made it comparable with other sites/sellers. Overall, I rate the jewelers bench a five star and the shipping as a one star. Buyers, watch the shipping fees!!

Not without it’s flaws. A Beautiful Bench
It was hard work to assemble correctly. Took a few hours. Ensuring the bolts are lined up before you screw them all in helps. Nothing was out of alignment. A few shelf pieces had some damage but wood glue was a quick fix. I expected some damage due to the reviews. Overall it’s a great bench and suits my needs. The drawers are packed horribly leading to breakage. More packing material is needed but it is what it is! :) good price quick shipping.
