Decent 4 Buck Knife
Let's be real here...this is a cheap $4 knife that I got on sale. If you don't expect much you won't be disappointed. However, with a little work this is a decent utility knife. I didn't say dive knife, I said utility knife. Remember we're only talking 4 bucks here. You could use it as a dive knife, but it would disposable at best. Salt water will ruin this knife super fast.Stainless Steel? Yeah, well sort of. It's probably the lowest grade of stainless as a strong magnet will pick it up. Expect this knife to rust in any adverse condition. Keep it clean and dry and it will suffice. Salt water is a big no-no.The rubber straps are narrow and very long. I saved the straps for a different project. Never throw away decent rubber straps as they always come in handy for something else. The sheath is hard plastic and very clunky. I tossed it. I have some extra sheaths that will accommodate a 4" blade. The knife itself is decent. I like the serrations on the opposite side as I don't lose any blade length. The thumb rise and quillons are the same. The tangs has holes to lighten up the overall length and provide attachment points as needed. The blade is 4.25 inches with a rather crude bevel. About 5 minutes on a stone sharpened it right up. If you have a small diameter sharpening stick you can touch up the serrations as well. The handle/tang seems to be made for paracord or a rubberized coating. I scuffed the tang with 600 grit wet/dry paper and wiper her down with acetone. I dipped the handle 4 times using plasti-dip.A little time in the shop and this knife is well worth 4 bucks.

The release on the sheath to pull out knife is a great idea for quickness and safety
Just what I was looking for. Sheath and knife lightweight and durable. The release on the sheath to pull out knife is a great idea for quickness and safety. Can easily be done with one hand. The straps are rubber and could use a little more length but they stay in place around leg. Great price, speedy delivery.

Exceptional Value …read on (multiple purchase)
With over 35 years of dive experience, I had a Dacor Techno (slightly smaller) version of this knife costing $130. I lost it on a dive when a strap broke. The price of this knife is insane. For its size, and stability in your hand, you won’t find a better bargain. Although it’s not the same thickness, weight or sheath quality of the aforementioned knife; it is still an exceptional value. I could lose a dozen of these knives and still have money in the bank. 4 star because the plastic sheath and rubber straps could be better. That said, this is an exceptional find.****************************************************Titanium dive knives are most often titanium oxide coated steal because full titanium dive knives are extremely expensive. Frankly put, I personally don’t find the expense of those any real value. The moment they get scratched, they corrode where the scratches are and/or underneath the titanium oxide. For dive knife preservation, I find a little silicone gasket grease or O-ring grease along the blade edge and the locking punch of the knife work’s extremely well. As with all dive gear, proper cleaning goes a long way with preservation and durability of your gear. A simple rinse with fresh water then towel dry and reapplication of silicone O-ring grease along the blade edge and locking punch (or any scratches) is all I do prior to my dives and/or storage. Remember not to overdo it since a little goes a long way. The reason for multiple purchases are dive buddies either lose their expensive knives or swipe mine. Also, tool handle silicone dip is also great for the handle of these knives without compromising the use of the sheath. You can find the “tool handle dip” or silicone dip on Amazon or at any hardware store for a couple bucks.****************************************************REPAIRING YOUR RUSTED KNIFE:Let your knife soak in white vinegar for a few hours or in Cola or *Ketchup (works really well) until the rust is gone. You can use a soft brush to spot-treat really bad areas. Make sure it’s a natural fiber or soft nylon brush (old toothbrush preferred) since any type of metal brush will damage the knife. Rinse with fresh water, towel dry and apply silicone as described above.

Satisfied
I'm not using this knife for diving purposes so i am not worried about rust or straps. I really like that the knife is light. My fingers are small so i can really grasp handle well. The plastic sheath serves it's purpose. I can easily modify it for personal wear. Wanted something i could carry in purse or on person as last resort self defense. Blade arrived sharp and hopefully won't have to use.

Cheap - Sharp - Good Case - Bad straps
So far this knife has been pretty good - I did have to switch out the rubber straps because they just didnt work for me - too big. This product is exactly as pictured. Keep in mind if you are looking for a forever dive knife - this is not the one. It is stainless steel so it will rust at some point if you swim in salty water - even if you wash and dry it well. But it will get you by at a fair price. If you want something that wont rust - titanium is the only way to go. Otherwise this knife came sharp and the case locks well. 4 stars because of straps.

useless sheath
The knife itself meets the expectations - sharp and hefty. I did not test it for resistance to rust, though. My main complain is about the sheathThe item I received was very different from what is pictured on the website. Instead of metal "belt buckles" on the straps it has plastic "side release" buckles which slid off the the straps. The sheath is a hard plastic with sharp edges which I expect will not feel comfortable against bare skin and might even dig in through fabric. The release mechanism is somewhat awkward - hard to operate with one hand while pulling out the knife.
