Seems like it’ll be just fine. Looks good, too.
Took almost 10 minutes to remove stock shifter and install this one. 5 of those 10 minutes was looking for my blue loctite. Heim joints were lubed. Confirmed length was set, tightened lock nuts and installed. Haven’t ridden yet, but right away I could tell there was no slop and neutral was much easier to find. Seems like it’ll work fine. I used the OEM acorn nut on the front since it looked better and didn’t use the shifter cover. It seemed corny and didn’t fit anyways.

Decent piece for the price.
Good quality and fit my 2020 road glide special perfectly at its shortest adjustment. The little black linkage cover does not fit this year, but doesnt really matter, almost unnoticeable. The aluminum was machined nicely considering the price. Of course it was advertised 8 dollars cheaper the day after I bought it.

Looks great
Not only does it look great and matched my shift levers but eliminated all the play in my worn factory link making it much easier to find neutral. The finish on the link is nice the hiem joints are large and smooth. The little matching cover for the transmission lever is a nice touch.

Good Temporary Replacement
Like all things, eventually the heim (ball) joint on the shifter linkage will wear and become loose. When HD charges $45 just for one replacement heim joint and $150 for an entire linkage assembly, getting this fully assembled linkage for $21 is a bargain. But, you get what you pay for. Each end of the linkage where the heim joints screw in felt a little loose. So before adjusting the length, I unscrewed the joints from the linkage and covered the threads with Loc-tite. I adjusted the length, then tightened down the adjustment nuts. When installing the linkage to the bike, the supplied bolt (black, pictured) wouldn’t screw in easily even though the thread pitch matches the stock bolt. I didn’t want to take a chance stripping the hole on the transmission lever, so I reused the stock bolt. The supplied hardware connected to the foot control lever just fine.I don’t know how I feel about the longevity of this item, so I’m keeping my original linkage as a back-up in case this one wears prematurely. Only time will tell.

Not a great fit.
Both sides are right hand thread. For my 2021 Road Glide Special, this was a little long. I had to remove and reset the shift levers to accommodate the length. The above picture is how much thread you are going to have to expose in order to have the jam-nut clear the lever.I made it work with some finagling. Not a bad looking product. The machining and paint on the rod looks nice.
