Long dated (11/2027 on mine). Conveniently in 20 sets of 10. 1 tablet per litre to be treated
UPDATE: I tested them. Just with regular tap water. While I was out walking.Put one in the bottle of water. They "fizz" slightly, like dissolvable pills do, but not so much.Waited 30+ minutes. (the water had got plenty of shaking as I was carrying the bottle in a bag). And tried it ...... Yes - it DOES change the taste of the water. Perhaps it is a tad more bitter? But not that much more bitter. The main change seemed to me like the change in taste between soft and hard water, or between bottled and tap water.I do not find the change is taste to be "bad" at all - just different. And, as I wrote above, even if it was a bit iffy in taste (which to me it is not), it would STILL be FAR better than drink untreated trough/lake/canal/river/ditch water!I actually DOUBLED the suggested dose (so I put 1 tablet in 500 ml of water), so any taste changes would have been magnified, and like I said, the change is taste was obvious. (I am a big guy, so a bit extra every now and then is VERY unlikely to do me any harm.)As well as the taste, after waiting the recommended 30 minutes, I opened my water bottle and it did smell just a tiny bit vaguely like a swimming pool. That will be the chlorine, thought I. Not as strong a smell as a swimming pool, but a definite hint of it. Presumably, because I "double dosed" I got "double smell" as well as "double taste".To be honest, I found neither the taste or the smell in any way objectionable. But preferences and tastes differ.First Impressions: These are for my "oh, I am lost, and the sun is blazing, but there is an animal water trough / canal / ditch with water over there" hiking kit.In other words, for "found" water when I am on extended hikes or Ultra running.Taste? Who cares - gotta be better than "raw" ditch water ;-)Twenty strips of ten (2x5) - all dated November 2027 - so more than 4 years time.I will just take a strip of 10 with me - a strip of 10 are about the size of a banknote (with 10 little lumps in it), I suppose. So they will go in a pocket, or in the pocket on my "runner's belt" etc etc.Far better to also boil the water. BUT these tablets are far better than "raw" "found" water. Like I said, gotta be better than "raw" ditch water! As always though, boiling water thoroughly is the BEST method. About 5 minutes at the boil, and that is optimum. Filter it, treat it, AND boil it if you like. But boil it![However, reality means one does not always have the time and/or equipment for boiling water with one, and one has to be careful of local regulations, starting forest fires, etc etc in dry weather. If "boiling" is not available, a pack of these water purification tablets are small and easy to carry, well-priced, and a good "second choice".]

Good value, easy to use with only a small taste
I bought these for a trip to Morocco wanting to cut down on plastic bottle usage. One tablet per litre, they are easy to use and dissolve well within 30mins. There is a slight chloriney taste to the water but it isn't too bad.You get loads in the pack so very good value for money

used many times and works
These tablets work perfect. Placed one tablet per litre as recommended and had no problems with stomach upsets. Never noticed any taste issues but if there was I would still use for the benefit of having a safe water to drink.

Good product, did the job minimal after taste
First time using purification tablets, I thought there would be an unpleasant aftertaste but it was absolutely fine, and didn't taste a lot different from UK Tap water.Would highly recommend getting some of you're heading to an at risk area. Just drop them into a litre of water, wait 30 minutes, job done!
